Casey Affleck - Jim Dillingham

Last Christmas I started working on a comic book version of O. Henry's classic Christmas short story The Gift of the Magi. Jim and Ella Dillingham were to be inspired by Casey Affleck and Evangeline Lilly. I only got around to do a cartoonized version of Affleck as Jim and draw the outline of the opening panel - then Christmas was over and the inspiration was over as well. But I still like the idea and I'll probably pick it up again next Christmas!

This is a study of Casey Affleck's cartoonized face I did before working on the first panel of the story. I'll improve his look if I get around to finish the project.
